WE ARE GLOBAL CITIZENS
We are committed to being good global citizens. We know global issues like climate change are too much for any one person or business to tackle on their own. However, we believe that we can make a difference by reducing our carbon footprint and are always looking for ways to do our part to protect our planet.
We appreciate what fungi do for our planet, and we are grateful for the medicine they give. We show our gratitude by doing our part to protect the planet where they grow and being good stewards of the land.
Our Sustainable Refill System
Every company that packages a product of any kind is responsible for deciding what KIND of packaging it will offer to our planet. This was a BIG decision for us. In Latin, the word EVERSIO means change. So, we are making a change to the way things in our space are usually done.
It would have been easy to offer our products in plastic packaging that is easy to produce and source, extremely durable and really cheap to buy. However, our research revealed that:
79% of the 8.3 billion tonnes of plastic that has been produced on Earth since 1950 has ended up in landfills or in the natural environment, and 8 million tonnes is believed to enter oceans ANNUALLY!
This is now widely accepted as a serious global problem.
It's time for change.
The solution is to curb the unnecessary use of plastic, and reduce plastic waste, particularly from packaging. Thus, our decision to offer a different way to deliver your daily mushroom support that follows the model of a REUSE ECONOMY. Glass is infinitely recyclable, but if we create less, it will have less impact on our planet.
So, we kindly ask that you PLEASE KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL GLASS JAR for monthly capsule refills. Don't recycle it, and don't throw it away. ONE GLASS JAR for each capsule product is all you will ever need. REUSE, REUSE, REUSE, over and over again!
Your refills will arrive in a kraft paper pouch with an inner metallic moisture and oxygen barrier, inside a recyclable paper mailer. To dispose of the refill pouch, please contact your local recycling provider for the most Earth friendly option in your community.
