The Blend

Meet the Mushrooms

Three mushrooms, each chosen for a reason.

Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane each bring their own history, character and extract profile to the formula. Together, they make up the blend we reach for at the start of the day.

Turkey Tail mushroom

Turkey Tail

Trametes versicolor

333 mg · 12:1 extract · 3,996 mg QCE · 45% beta-D-glucans

Turkey Tail has been used traditionally for centuries and today is one of the best-known functional mushrooms. Its thin, overlapping fruiting bodies give it its distinctive name, while its naturally high beta-glucan content makes it an important part of this blend.

Cordyceps mushroom

Cordyceps

Cordyceps militaris

333 mg · 8:1 extract · 2,664 mg QCE · 25% beta-D-glucans

Cordyceps has long been associated with vitality and physical activity, which is part of what has made it such a recognizable functional mushroom. We use the distinctive fruiting bodies of Cordyceps militaris, cultivated specifically for a consistent 8:1 extract.

Lion's Mane mushroom

Lion’s Mane

Hericium erinaceus

333 mg · 8:1 dual extract · 2,664 mg QCE · 35% beta-D-glucans

Lion’s Mane has been used traditionally for centuries and today is one of the best-known functional mushrooms. Its white, cascading fruiting body looks unlike almost any other mushroom, and in this blend it is the only one we dual extract.

Mushroom Math

Why 333 mg isn’t always 333 mg

The number of milligrams in a serving only tells you how much extract is there. It doesn’t tell you how much mushroom went into making it.

That is where the extract ratio comes in. A 12:1 extract uses 12 parts dried mushroom to make 1 part extract, while an 8:1 extract uses eight. The amount of dried mushroom behind the finished extract is known as the dried mushroom equivalent, or Quantity Crude Equivalent (QCE).

In 3 Mushroom Blend, each mushroom has its own extract ratio. So while there are 333 mg each of Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane in the serving, there is considerably more dried mushroom behind each one.

Mushroom Extract in each serving Extract ratio QCE
Turkey Tail 333 mg 12:1 3,996 mg
Cordyceps 333 mg 8:1 2,664 mg
Lion’s Mane 333 mg 8:1 dual 2,664 mg
Total 999 mg 9,324 mg

QCE 9,324 mg 1,000 mg

1 gram in the serving. More than 9 g of dried mushroom behind it.

Is 3 Mushroom Blend Right for Your Routine?

It may be a good fit if you:

  • Want Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane together in one daily powder
  • Prefer concentrated mushroom extracts over 1:1 mushroom powders
  • Look for fruiting body extracts with no grain substrate in the mushroom extracts
  • Like knowing the extract ratios, QCE and beta-glucan specifications before you buy
  • Want USDA Organic Certified and third-party tested mushroom supplements
  • Prefer something you can stir into coffee, matcha, a smoothie or breakfast
  • Want one simple way to make several mushrooms part of your daily routine

What to Look for in a Mushroom Supplement

A mushroom blend should tell you more than which mushrooms are in the jar. Look at the species, source material, extract ratios, beta-glucan specifications and testing to understand what you are actually buying.

The Difference

What are fruiting bodies and mycelium?

Most of a fungus is hidden from view. It spends much of its life as mycelium, a network of fine, thread-like structures. When conditions are right, it produces the fruiting body, the part we recognize as a mushroom.

Mycelium

The network the mushroom grows from. Mycelium is made up of fine, thread-like structures called hyphae that grow through a food source.

vs.
Fruiting body mushroom icon

Fruiting Body

The visible part we recognize as the mushroom. It is the source material we use for every mushroom extract in this blend.

Think of an apple tree

The tree, roots and all → that’s the mycelium

The apple → that’s the fruiting body

Both belong to the same fungus, but they are different structures.

Where grain substrate comes in

Mycelium is sometimes cultivated on grains such as rice or oats. As the mycelium grows, its thread-like network spreads through and becomes intertwined with the grain substrate, making the two difficult to separate.

Because of this, the cultivated material is typically harvested as a whole. The mycelium and grain substrate are processed together, so grain remains in the finished ingredient.

Why Eversio uses fruiting bodies

For 3 Mushroom Blend, we start with the fruiting bodies of Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane. Each mushroom is extracted separately using the method chosen for that mushroom before the three extracts are brought together in the finished blend.

Every mushroom in 3 Mushroom Blend is a fruiting body extract, with no grain substrate in the mushroom extracts.

Important things to know

Why Beta-Glucans Matter

Beta-glucans are naturally occurring polysaccharides found in the cell walls of mushrooms. They are one of the useful markers we can measure when evaluating a mushroom extract.

In 3 Mushroom Blend, each extract has its own beta-glucan specification: 45% Turkey Tail, 25% Cordyceps and 35% Lion’s Mane, verified batch by batch.

Beta-glucans and polysaccharides are not the same number

Beta-glucans are a type of polysaccharide, but “polysaccharides” describes a much broader group of carbohydrates. Polysaccharides are also found in grains such as rice and oats, so a total polysaccharide test is not specific to mushroom beta-glucans.

That is why we specify beta-D-glucans for each mushroom extract rather than relying on one total polysaccharide percentage for the blend.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a mushroom complex?

A mushroom complex combines more than one mushroom into a single formula. Eversio 3 Mushroom Blend brings concentrated extracts of Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane together in one 1 g daily serving.

What’s in Eversio 3 Mushroom Blend?

3 Mushroom Blend contains equal amounts of Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane fruiting body extracts. Turkey Tail is a 12:1 extract, Cordyceps is an 8:1 extract, and Lion’s Mane is an 8:1 dual extract. There are no other ingredients in the blend.

Why did Eversio choose these three mushrooms?

Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane each bring something different to the formula. Turkey Tail is naturally rich in beta-glucans, Cordyceps has a long association with vitality and physical activity, and Lion’s Mane brings a different extract profile as the only dual extract in the blend. Together, they make up the blend we reach for at the start of the day.

Which Eversio mushroom blend should I choose?

Each Eversio blend was created with a different routine in mind. 3 Mushroom Blend is our start-of-day formula with Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane. 4 Mushroom Blend brings Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Maitake and Shiitake together for an evening ritual. 5 Mushroom Blend combines Cordyceps, Reishi, Maitake, Lion’s Mane and Tremella in a formula created with life’s changing stages in mind.

If you want one mushroom specifically, a single-mushroom product may be the better fit. Some customers also combine a blend with a single mushroom to create a more personalized routine.

How do I take 3 Mushroom Blend?

Adults 18 years and older: Take 1 g (approximately ½ teaspoon) once daily. Stir it into coffee or matcha, blend it into a smoothie, or add it to another food or drink that fits naturally into your routine.

When should I take 3 Mushroom Blend?

3 Mushroom Blend was designed to fit naturally into a morning routine, which is why we think of it as our start-of-day blend. Choose a time that fits naturally into your routine and is easy to remember.

What does 9,324 mg Quantity Crude Equivalent (QCE) mean?

Quantity Crude Equivalent (QCE) describes the amount of dried mushroom used to produce the concentrated extracts in a serving. One 1 g serving contains Turkey Tail, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane extracts made from the equivalent of 9,324 mg of dried mushroom in total. It does not mean there are 9,324 mg of powder in the serving.

How many servings are in a jar?

Each jar contains 60 g of 3 Mushroom Blend by weight. A daily serving is 1 g, or approximately ½ teaspoon, so one jar provides approximately 60 servings.

Does 3 Mushroom Blend dissolve completely?

3 Mushroom Blend mixes easily into drinks and foods, but mushroom extracts are natural ingredients, so you may occasionally notice a few tiny specks that do not fully dissolve. That is normal. A quick stir with a spoon works well, or you can use a handheld frother for a smoother mix.

Is Eversio 3 Mushroom Blend USDA Organic Certified?

Yes. Every mushroom extract in 3 Mushroom Blend is USDA Organic Certified.

Is Eversio 3 Mushroom Blend third-party tested?

Yes. Quality testing is performed on both the individual mushroom extracts and the finished product.

Can I take 3 Mushroom Blend with other mushroom supplements?

Yes. Some customers use a mushroom blend alongside a single-mushroom product to create a more personalized routine. Follow the directions on each product label, review the full ingredient amounts, and speak with your health care practitioner if you have questions about combining supplements.
