Chocolate Protein Bars ft. Balance

HEALTHY protein bars can be hard to find & sometimes contain more sugar than protein! Our version is packed with protein, fibre & powered up with functional mushrooms for SO MANY added benefits.

Notes on ingredients:

  • Protein has satiety-promoting properties, supports muscle growth, and helps maintain steady blood glucose levels and energy. This recipe was created using a 100% pure whey protein isolate in chocolate flavour. You can try using a plant-based protein, however, the texture may be more chalky, depending on the brand.
  • Almond butter and flour are a great source of fibre, minerals like magnesium, & antioxidant superstars like vitamin E. Almonds help to balance blood sugar, support healthy cardiovascular function, and help to keep you energized.
  • Chia seeds can absorb more than 12 times their weight in water. This ability to hold water can prolong hydration and retain electrolytes in body fluids, as well as extend endurance.

We have included Eversio's Balance Blend, which contains health-enhancing qualities such as:

  • A sense of calm for better stress adaptation with Reishi mushrooms
  • Increasing mental agility for increased productivity with Lion’s Mane mushrooms

Balanced Chocolate Protein Bar Recipe

BAR INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 Cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 Cup almond butter
  • 1/2 Cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 1/2 Cups chocolate protein powder
  • 3/4 Cup almond meal or almond flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Eversio Wellness BALANCE Blend

TOPPING

2 tbsp chocolate chips, chopped (We used Enjoy Life brand)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl, add coconut oil, almond butter and milk. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add protein powder, salt, and cinnamon, Balance Blend mushroom extarcts & almond meal, stir until combined using your hands if necessary to create a dough consistency.
  3. Line a baking dish with unbleached parchment paper & fill with prepared dough (We used a 7" x 10" size). Flatten with your hands & level with spatula.
  4. Top with chopped chocolate chips.
  5. Freeze bars for 20 minutes or refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove from the dish by holding onto the flaps of parchment paper and place on a cutting board. Cut into 12 bars and enjoy chilled.
