Hoa L.
I am very impressed with this supplement! I mix it with my tea for a delightful afternoon treat. I notice I feel calm and relaxed, finishing my workday and ready to transition to my evening routine.
Niki K.
I started with 4MB in late May, and within a few weeks, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace and balance. The little things that would usually upset me or cause me to worry unnecessarily no longer do, rather I can deal with without taking the issue so personally.

The Blend
Meet the Mushrooms
Four mushrooms, each chosen for a reason.
Reishi anchors the blend, while Lion’s Mane, Maitake and Shiitake each bring a different extract profile and history of use. Together, they create a formula designed to offer more than any one mushroom could bring on its own.
Reishi
Ganoderma lucidum
250 mg · 15:1 dual extract · 3,750 mg QCE · 45% beta-D-glucans
Reishi has a long history of traditional use and is well known as an adaptogenic mushroom. It is the anchor of this blend and the mushroom that most naturally fits its evening character. We use a concentrated 15:1 dual extract made from Reishi fruiting bodies.
Explore Reishi →
Lion’s Mane
Hericium erinaceus
250 mg · 8:1 dual extract · 2,000 mg QCE · 35% beta-D-glucans
Lion’s Mane has been used traditionally for centuries and today is one of the best-known functional mushrooms. Its white, cascading fruiting body looks unlike almost any other mushroom. In 4 Mushroom Blend, it brings a second dual-extract profile to the formula, complementing Reishi with a different range of naturally occurring compounds from the fruiting body.
Explore Lion’s Mane →
Maitake
Grifola frondosa
250 mg · 8:1 extract · 2,000 mg QCE · 40% beta-D-glucans
Maitake has been valued for generations and grows in distinctive clusters of overlapping, fan-shaped caps. Naturally high in beta-glucans, it brings an 8:1 fruiting body extract standardized to 40% beta-D-glucans to the formula. It was chosen to broaden the blend beyond Reishi and Lion’s Mane with a mushroom that has its own long history of everyday use.
Explore Maitake →
Shiitake
Lentinula edodes
250 mg · 8:1 extract · 2,000 mg QCE · 35% beta-D-glucans
Most people know Shiitake from the kitchen before they ever think of it as a functional mushroom. In this blend, we use a concentrated 8:1 fruiting body extract standardized to 35% beta-D-glucans. It adds another distinct mushroom profile to the formula while keeping the blend grounded in one of the most familiar mushrooms people already know.

Mushroom Math
Why 250 mg isn’t always 250 mg
The number of milligrams in a serving only tells you how much extract is there. It doesn’t tell you how much mushroom went into making it.
That is where the extract ratio comes in. A 15:1 extract uses 15 parts dried mushroom to make 1 part extract, while an 8:1 extract uses eight. The amount of dried mushroom behind the finished extract is known as the dried mushroom equivalent, or Quantity Crude Equivalent (QCE).
In 4 Mushroom Blend, each mushroom has its own extract ratio. So while there are 250 mg each of Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Maitake and Shiitake in the serving, there is considerably more dried mushroom behind each one.
| Mushroom | Extract in each serving | Extract ratio | QCE |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reishi | 250 mg | 15:1 dual | 3,750 mg |
| Lion’s Mane | 250 mg | 8:1 dual | 2,000 mg |
| Maitake | 250 mg | 8:1 | 2,000 mg |
| Shiitake | 250 mg | 8:1 | 2,000 mg |
| Total | 1,000 mg | 9,750 mg |

| Powder in the serving | 1,000 mg | 1,000 mg |
| QCE | 9,750 mg | 1,000 mg |

What to Look for in a Mushroom Supplement
A mushroom blend should tell you more than which mushrooms are in the jar. Look at the species, source material, extract ratios, beta-glucan specifications and testing to understand what you are actually buying.

The Difference
What are fruiting bodies and mycelium?
Most of a fungus is hidden from view. It spends much of its life as mycelium, a network of fine, thread-like structures. When conditions are right, it produces the fruiting body, the part we recognize as a mushroom.
Mycelium
The network the mushroom grows from. Mycelium is made up of fine, thread-like structures called hyphae that grow through a food source.
Fruiting Body
The visible part we recognize as the mushroom. It is the source material we use for every mushroom extract in this blend.
Think of an apple tree
The tree, roots and all → that’s the mycelium
The apple → that’s the fruiting body
Both belong to the same fungus, but they are different structures.
Where grain substrate comes in
Mycelium is sometimes cultivated on grains such as rice or oats. As the mycelium grows, its thread-like network spreads through and becomes intertwined with the grain substrate, making the two difficult to separate.
Because of this, the cultivated material is typically harvested as a whole. The mycelium and grain substrate are processed together, so grain remains in the finished ingredient.
Why Eversio uses fruiting bodies
For 4 Mushroom Blend, we start with the fruiting bodies of Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Maitake and Shiitake. Each mushroom is extracted separately using the method chosen for that mushroom before the four extracts are brought together in the finished blend.

The Eversio Experience Podcast
Shiitake Mushroom Masterclass
Shiitake may be best known as a culinary mushroom, but there is much more to Lentinula edodes than what ends up on the dinner plate.
In this episode, Brandi and Dr. Desiree explore Shiitake's long history of use, its naturally occurring beta-glucans and other compounds researchers continue to study, and what changes when a familiar food mushroom is made into a concentrated fruiting body extract. They also look at the research that has made Shiitake an enduring part of the functional mushroom conversation.

Why Beta-Glucans Matter
Beta-glucans are naturally occurring polysaccharides found in the cell walls of mushrooms. They are one of the useful markers we can measure when evaluating a mushroom extract.
In 4 Mushroom Blend, each extract has its own beta-glucan specification: 45% Reishi, 35% Lion’s Mane, 40% Maitake and 35% Shiitake, verified batch by batch.
Beta-glucans and polysaccharides are not the same number
Beta-glucans are a type of polysaccharide, but “polysaccharides” describes a much broader group of carbohydrates. Polysaccharides are also found in grains such as rice and oats, so a total polysaccharide test is not specific to mushroom beta-glucans.
That is why we specify beta-D-glucans for each mushroom extract rather than relying on one total polysaccharide percentage for the blend.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is 4 Mushroom Blend?
4 Mushroom Blend is an organic mushroom extract powder made with Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Maitake and Shiitake fruiting bodies. One 1 g serving contains 1,000 mg of concentrated mushroom extracts, representing 9,750 mg of dried mushroom equivalent.
What mushrooms are in 4 Mushroom Blend?
4 Mushroom Blend contains Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus), Maitake (Grifola frondosa) and Shiitake (Lentinula edodes). Each is made from mushroom fruiting bodies and contributes 250 mg of concentrated extract per serving.
Why combine these four mushrooms?
Each mushroom brings a different history, extract profile and naturally occurring compounds to the formula. Reishi anchors the blend, while Lion’s Mane, Maitake and Shiitake broaden it with three distinct mushroom extracts. Together, they create one thoughtfully built formula instead of requiring four separate products.
Is a mushroom blend the same as a mushroom complex?
The terms mushroom blend and mushroom complex are often used interchangeably for products that combine more than one mushroom species.
Whatever the product is called, look beyond the number of mushrooms on the front of the jar. Check how much of each mushroom is included, whether they are extracts, the extract ratios and whether beta-glucan content is disclosed.
How do I take 4 Mushroom Blend?
Adults 18 years and older: Take 1 g, approximately ½ teaspoon, once daily. Stir it into tea, cacao, coffee or another favourite drink, blend it into a smoothie, or add it to food.

Does 4 Mushroom Blend dissolve completely?
4 Mushroom Blend mixes easily into drinks and foods. For the smoothest blend, we recommend using a handheld frother or our Mushroom Mixer. If you don’t have one, a spoon will still do the job. Because mushroom extracts are natural ingredients, you may occasionally notice a few tiny specks that do not fully dissolve. That’s completely normal.
When is the best time to take 4 Mushroom Blend?
There is no single best time. Many people make 4 Mushroom Blend part of their evening routine, while others take it earlier in the day. Choose a time that fits naturally into your routine and is easy to remember.
Can I take 4 Mushroom Blend every day?
4 Mushroom Blend is designed to fit into a daily routine. Adults 18 years and older should follow the recommended serving of 1 g, approximately ½ teaspoon, once daily.
What does 9,750 mg QCE mean?
QCE stands for Quantity Crude Equivalent. It describes the amount of dried mushroom used to produce the concentrated extracts in a serving.
One serving contains 1,000 mg of concentrated mushroom extracts made from the equivalent of 9,750 mg of dried mushroom in total. It does not mean there are 9,750 mg of powder in the serving.
How are the mushrooms in 4 Mushroom Blend extracted?
We choose the extraction method based on the mushroom. Reishi is a 15:1 dual extract and Lion’s Mane is an 8:1 dual extract, using both hot water and alcohol during extraction. Maitake and Shiitake are concentrated 8:1 extracts.
Not every mushroom needs the same extraction process, so we choose the method according to the mushroom rather than applying one process to every ingredient.
Is 4 Mushroom Blend made from fruiting bodies or mycelium?
Every mushroom extract in 4 Mushroom Blend is made from fruiting bodies. We do not use mycelium grown on grain in the mushroom extracts.
What does 4 Mushroom Blend taste like?
On its own, 4 Mushroom Blend has a mild, earthy mushroom flavour, and some people enjoy it simply stirred into water. But at just ½ teaspoon per serving, it disappears easily into the things you already drink. Stir it into coffee, cacao or a smoothie and you’ll barely notice the mushroom taste.
Can I take 4 Mushroom Blend with other mushroom supplements?
Some customers use a mushroom blend alongside a single-mushroom product to create a more personalized routine. When combining supplements, review the ingredients and amounts across each product and speak with your health care practitioner if you have questions about what is appropriate for you.
Can I take 4 Mushroom Blend with medications?
We cannot advise on interactions with specific medications. Speak with your health care practitioner before use if you take blood thinners or anticoagulants, have diabetes, are pregnant or breastfeeding, take prescription medication, or are managing a health condition.
How long does one jar of 4 Mushroom Blend last?
Each 60 g jar contains approximately 60 servings. At one 1 g serving per day, one jar lasts about 60 days.
